Taken from album's booklet: Vladimir Rybaczek - violin, vocals Vadimas Czuchoncevas - guitar, keys Kristof Magnuski - bass guitar guest performace - Darius Swiatlowski - accordion
This lineup records and performs live since 2005. Before, Vladimir Rybaczek and Vadimas Czuchoncevas played as Would Trio and they gained the well-deserved fame of outstanding peformers and arrangers of old Russian and Gipsy romances and folk songs. No wonder, as they are professional and well educated musicians. (...) In 2005 they invited Kristof and Darius, changed the band name for Wood Trio and started to work on the old idea of recording traditional Russian and Gipsy songs in a new, more modern versions. These songs were performed at the campfires of wandering gipsy tabors, nobility parlors, or crazy officers and merchants' revels. There is much in them: love and betrayal, infinite space and sadness of Russian steppes, the sound of galloping horses. Each song received a special, interesting arrangement, but hopefully still emanates the mysterious Russian soul...
